Fire hydrants… as children imagine them
Verdun’s artistic designers aged three to sixteen are invited to create and design a fire hydrant that must be original with a theme; it should be in color or drawn as an abstract. Entries will be accepted between the end of September and October 30 this year.
This invitation launches the fire hydrant annual design competition organised by Verdun’s Embellishment Committee in collaboration with the Borough.
Designs by contest winners will be reproduced on an actual fire hydrant located in Verdun Borough. The 2008 winning designs have been on display since August 12 created by painter Benoît Lacharité who meticulously reproduced the designs by last year’s winners.
Promotional brochures should be distributed in schools soon. To register for the competition, fill in a registration form by calling 514 765-7150. Participants can also obtain the templates upon which they will make their drawings.
