No Citizens' Tuesdays and Council Meetings During the Holidays

The Verdun Borough hereby wishes to inform residents that there will be no Citizens' Tuesdays during the Christmas and New Year's holidays. These one-on-one meetings with the Mayor or one of the Borough councillors will resume on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at 6:30 p.m.

Borough Council members wish to thank all Verdunites who took part in these meetings during 2008. As it may be recalled, Citizens' Tuesdays were first introduced by Council in February 2006, in order to provide residents with an additional opportunity to take part in the Borough's democratic life.

Next Council meeting

Please take note that there won't be any Borough Council meeting in January. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 7 p.m. Subsequent meetings for 2009 will be held on the first Tuesday of every month, except in August, when there will be a break for summer holidays. The schedule for 2009 Council meetings will be posted on the Borough's website in January 2009.
