BEURLING ACADEMY DATES AND TIMES
The school year about to start for another season, Beurling Academy, like all Quebec schools, has been getting ready and this summer, it’s been a busy one. A major 1.9 million dollar facelift, including new windows that open easily, has been going on the past few months, so we took a quick visit this past week. As you recall the old windows were part of the building since it opened in 1961.
Some brickwork has been done, painting inside has been going on, a new 7-foot fence separating the yard with Beurling Park, should have been installed by the time you read this, and new doors were also part of the project, though there was no sign of this during our visit.
New Principal David Abracen and his staff have also been getting ready and we have some dates and times for the parents to keep in mind as you get your students ready for the first day.
The uniforms being a must on the first day, the Home and School uniform store will be open this Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
The office staff will also be on hand serving you with a smile as they accept payments of school fees, which are supposed to be paid before school starts, every morning from Wednesday to Friday starting at 9 am. The closing hours differ. On Wednesday, they close at 8, on Thursday they close at 4 pm, and it’s 12 noon on Friday. Fees may be paid by cash, money order, bank certified check, or Interac. Personal cheques will not be accepted.
