Now in its successful fourteenth edition, the Verdun in Bloom contest is a creative opportunity for residents to express their enthusiasm for a beautiful environment. The Comité d’embellissement Verdun and Verdun Borough invite you to create magnificent gardens and landscapes at home. The registration period begins on May 1 and ends on June 11.
Contestants may register in one of the four following categories: amateur garden (front), amateur garden (rear), amateur garden (overall landscape) and professional garden. Please note that, in the three amateur garden categories, residents must ceritify that they took care of their garden by themselves during the past 12 months.
The evaluation process will take place from July 2 to July 6. The following criterias will be guding the judges: optimal use of available space, diversity and harmony of forms and colors, plant and bush health and decorative elements. An overall appreciation will complete the evaluation. There will be a maximum of three winners in each category. The prize-giving event will take place in September.
Registration forms as well as the complete rules and regulations of the contest are available at Centre communautaire Marcel-Giroux (4501, Bannantyne), at Centre communautaire Elgar (260, Elgar). Information: 514 765-7150 and on line on the Committee’s web site :
