From April fifteenth to twenty-first, Canadian volunteers step into the spotlight as communities across the country celebrate National Volunteer Week. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the volunteers of Douglas Hospital for the work that they do helping out, giving back and having fun. St-Willibrord Church is hosting a choral concert by the group «Octet Plus» in commemoration of the first Mass celebrated in the present church. This concert features the theme «Life Giving Water» and will take place Monday October 23 rd at 7:30 pm in the Church, 325 Willibrord Avenue. Battle of Ypres Service and Parade - Sunday, April 29/07 - A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at the Cenotaph in Parc du Souvenir in front of Verdun City Hall. This year we will be joined by Colour parties from other branches, the Black Watch Pipes & Drums, their association, Cadet Corps, Quebec Provincial Command, District # 7 Command & dignataries from all levels of Government. Come & remember who those have given their lives to protect our liberty through all the wars on this day at the Battle of Ypres.
