Dawson Community Centre (666 Woodland, Verdun) is offering a new series of free workshops for seniors entitled «Verdun-Memories». Through guided tours and talks led by Kathryn Harvey, historian and former resident of Verdun, the program seeks to encourage the exchange of stories about Verdun’s past. The Volunteer Auxiliary of the Douglas Hospital urgently needs responsible members of our community to assist a team of dedicated volunteers in a Snack Bar available to staff and patients. We need volunteers to assist any day, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to share and respect the members of your community.
