Spring break Day camp
If you want a safe and exciting experience for your child during Spring Break why not join our Spring Break Day Camp at Dawson Community Centre. Registrations start on February 1 - 9, at 8:30 to 6:00 p.m., and the camp takes place from March 5 to 9. Cost for the whole camp is $75.00 plus $10.00 membership fee. This includes breakfast, one snack and all the outings. Camp opens at 8:30 and ends at 4:00 p.m. If you want extra supervision, it is offered from 7:00 to 8:30 am and 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at a cost of $25.00 for the week. Capture your special moments with stunning-and completely unique scrapbook pages made by yourself. Stay for a cup of tea, homemade goodies and a word from the Pastor. «Verdun Memories» at DAWSON Centre
Dawson Community Centre (666 Woodland Ave.) is offering a new series of workshops for seniors entitled «Verdun-Memories». Through guided tours and talks led by Kathryn Harvey, historian and former resident of Verdun, the program seeks to encourage the exchange of stories about Verdun’s past. Participants will be invited to bring their pictures, objects and memories with the intention of creating a visual and oral record that can be shared with today’s youth and future generations. It is FREE and you can join at any time. The first workshop begins Feb. 1st with a visit to the exhibition “Growing up in Montreal,� at the McCord Museum.
