Blues fans will be happy to know that on January 26th renowed guitarist Steve Rowe will perform at Centre culturel de Verdun (5955, Bannantyne).
Part of the Fridays Blues series presented by the Verdun borough, the show starts at 8 p.m. and is only $5. Steve Rowe won’t be alone on stage as a drummer, a bassist and special guest Jim Zeller will join him.
After “No Refund, No Return‿ and “Driving the Blues Away‿, Steve Rove proves with his third album “Front Rowe Center‿ that he’s part of the bluesmen elite. His last effort received critical acclaim in Australia, Belgium, Norway and Germany. The concept behind the album is an hommage to the many guitarists who inspired him throughout his career.
With his unique sound, a sincere approach and a definite pleasure to play in front of a crowd, Steve Rowe has performed in many prestigious blues festivals. He brought his guitar to Festiblues, the Montreal international Jazz Festival, the Rouyn Noranda blues festival and the Tremblant blues festival, just to name a few.
