Celebrating Halloween
Celebrating Halloween with the pirates
Youngsters wanting to celebrate Halloween in a different and very original way are invited to visit Centre communautaire Marcel-Giroux (4501, Bannantyne). On October 31, from 5: 30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the community center will be in disguise. Perpetuating a tradition that has been very successful for several years now, a thematic special event, featuring characters, costumes and elements of scenery, gathers us on the last day of October.
This year, the creative team was inspired by the world of pirates. During their visit, participants will be boarding a make-believe ship, discovering on the way the captain’s office and all that is being used when sailing. The journey will then take them to the pirate’s cell before reaching the mystery and shiver islands. A treasure chest is also being hidden somewhere, a must in any pirate’s story. Where will it be found?
Join us at Centre communautaire Marcel-Giroux for an entertaining activity, inviting children and adults to explore the fascinating world of pirates. There will be candies for kids. This Halloween special event is presented by the Verdun Borough in cooperation with Club optimiste Verdun. The admission is free. For information, call 514 765-7150.
