Burundi dancers at Beurling Academy

(BD) - Februari was Black History month at most schools and BA was no exception. Teacher Jean Claude Manirakiza, a native of Burundi, as he has in the past, brought in the acclaimed Burundi Drummers dance troupe for the junior students in a show that heated up the auditorium and got everybody’s mojo smokin’ with no concern for the blustery weather outside. The five drummers provided all with an afternoon of lively music and dancing and also got the students involved inviting them up onstage to try their hand at those drums.
