Saturday Night Dance for February 23 is Karaoke Night at 8:30 p.m. in the clubroom. On Saturday February 23 at 12:30p.m.(afternoon) there will be a Mix 9 Ball Pool Tournament for members and friends and a contribution is $5. Artistic and creative women needed
The YMCA Montreal is looking for artistic and creative women (60+) interested in becoming involved in a new intergenerational project starting soon! This new YMCA program is designed to counter the stereotypical socialization of young girls aged 6 to 9 years old throught the production of stories, puppets, theatres, etc. An information session will be held on February 18th for those interested in volunteering. “Verdun Memorie” back at Dawson
Dawson Community Centre (666, Woodland, Verdun) continues its historical and cultural program entitled “Verdun-Memories”. This year we are looking for seniors willing to tell their life stories in Verdun and also seniors willing to interview them. These stories will be recorded to create a Web site on Verdun’s oral history.The training workshops will take place at Dawson, in February and March. Days and time to be announced soon. The Champlain Adult Education Centre-Verdun Access-to-Work Pavilion located at 1050 Fifth Avenue in Verdun offers a free job training program for adults with or without Secondary V.
