Bingo at Riverview: Yes, that great fundraiser bingo is back and it’s on this Saturday evening, Nov.3rd. You can pick up tickets at the school and they are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door, and bring yourself some transport, as who you might win one of the two grand prizes, which is a color TV with a built-in DVD player, and, of course, there will be other great prizes up for grabs.

Your chance to win some cold hard cash is also there with the half and half; neat door prizes and the usual refreshments will be available, so see you at the bingo

BEURLING ACADEMY
First off, we recently got the great news from teacher Sarah Legacy about the wonderful participation of BA students in the recent CIBC Run for the Cure in support of a cure towards breast cancer. Students Alicia Cross and Victoria Lee organized the BA side of things from making posters, getting runners, collecting monies, distributing t-shirts, etc.

Over 80 students took part and raised over $3500 dollars going towards finding a cure of this dreaded disease. We salute Alicia and Victoria and all those dedicated students for their outstanding efforts.

Another Open House has come and gone, and hopefully lots of registrations for the school next year. Parents and prospective students had the chance to visit the building, which the Board calls one of its gems, and to talk to the teachers about the various programs offered, and also take in some events planned for that night.

One thing that caught our attention was the improv acting in Mr. Leiva’s class. Students showed off their soap opera acting talents, and looked like they could give the Hollywood types a run for their money.
