Honoured as Business Personality for the month of July
The Fondation du développement local jury has not been on vacation this summer and it is with great satisfaction that it named Brenda Gewurz as its Business Personality for the month of July.
Numerous Island residents have undoubtedly had the opportunity to meet Mrs. Gewurz over the years, since she occupies the position of vice-president of sales for Proment, while also donating much of her time in a number of community organizations in Verdun and throughout Montreal.
Mrs. Gewurz met with Verdun Messager journalist, Pierre Lussier, at her office at Proment Corporation on the Island. Proment's reputation is already well known, since the company is responsible for the majority of residential development on the Island. Projects like Les Verrières, Le Club Marin, Les Sommets sur le fleuve are renowned for their quality, while Le Vistal I and Le Vistal II projects are currently underway.
While Brenda Gewurz is actively associated with her visionary husband, Samuel Gewurz, she could have undoubtedly been involved in a different profession and met with an equal amount of success. She has a Masters in the sciences and was planning to work in medical research, but life had other plans. Today she is the vice-president of a company that was founded by her husband 25 years ago. Mrs. Gewurz has become a specialist in sales, even going as far as pursuing studies to get an MBA in Marketing.
Understanding the needs and trends of the housing market
Mrs. Gewurz explains that all Proment projects begin by extensive research to identify the needs and trends of the real estate market. These studies are often based on the comments expressed by previous buyers, who often refer new buyers to them. "These studies are very rigorous and are our strength," confirms Mrs. Gewurz.
While the Le Vistal project is at stage 3 (sales), the project at the Island's northern sector is still in the first stages of creation, research and analysis of potential needs of future clients. The company even uses focus groups to better identify their clients' needs. After that, an image with a concept and a logo is created to correspond to the product's vision. It's already known that Le Vistal will be the most ecological of all projects built on the Island and it's therefore essential that the project correspond to all demands and expectations.
Potential buyers can also enjoy a virtual 3D tour of their future apartment, thanks to Proment's high-tech resources. According to Mrs. Gewurz, the virtual tour is so realistic visitors can actually imagine themselves in their future condo.
Giving back to the community
Working in an environment where most people are financially successful, Brenda Gewurz doesn't forget about those in need. Loyal to her moral values, this businesswoman actively supports the Verdun Hospital Foundation and community organization, Toujours Ensemble. She also doubles the donations that are raised by residents of the various residential towers built by Proment, every year during the Christmas holidays.
