The Verdun Borough and the Comité d’embellissement Verdun are calling all amateur photographers in Verdun to register to the photo contest, now in its fifth successful year!
The 2007 edition introduces a brand new theme: “Verdun by night”. “An Architectural View of Verdun” and “Insect” themes are once again featured this year.
The registration period ends on August 20. A maximum of one contest entry per theme, per contest entrant is accepted. In the “Verdun by Night” and “Architectural View of Verdun” categories, the photo must include an element that is identifable with Verdun. The photo must be 4” X 6” (approx 10 X 15 cm). As it is the case for the contest entry form, complete rules and regulations are available at Centre communautaire Marcel-Giroux (4501, Bannantyne), at Centre communautaire Elgar (260, Elgar) and on the Beautification committee’s Web site:
www.comite-embellissement.info.The winners’ names will be announced next fall. Presented at the Borough Hall, Centre culturel de Verdun and Centre communautaire Elgar, a touring exhibition will be featuring the photographs made by the winners and finalists.
