For "La Grande Fête de la Nature"
From June 16 to 23, "La Grande Fête de la Nature" will be taking place in our borough, and if the event is to be a success, volunteers are desperately needed and asked to offer their help.
In an effort to promote sustainable development, Heritage Laurentien and the Festival Mondial de la Terre Canada are planning a festival along the waterfront in both the LaSalle and Verdun boroughs. Organizers are hoping it will raise awareness about the area's natural resources and environment protection.

"La Grande Fête de la Nature" will focus on bringing to the forefront issues like sustainable development, leisure and recreation, eco-tourism, the development of green communities, social solidarity and the protection of our natural heritage.

But none of this can happen without the involvement of numerous volunteers. Organizers are on the hunt for people to do a variety of tasks, from on-site security, to raising awareness, to dismantling the site, etc. Individuals, as well as organized groups and companies are urged to volunteer.

If interested, all they have to do is contact Annie Tellier, public relations coordinator at Heritage Laurentien, at 514-367-6540 or by emailing her, at: info@heritagelaurentien.org.
