An Outdoor Event and concert with Boom Desjardins on June 9

The 2007 summer season will be a very festive period at the Verdun Borough. Indeed, many entertaining outdoor activities will be inviting residents and visitors to spend some time together and have fun. Our first get-together event will be taking place on Saturday, June 9, at De L’Honorable-George-O’Reilly Park, located near the Verdun Natatorium (6500, LaSalle Blvd.) Music, Family and the Outdoors is the theme of this June 9 special event.

Whether it’s teenagers climbing a 24-feet high structure, or participants of all ages exploring the path to many adventure games, the program of activities will please each and everyone, including young kids enjoying the inflatable play structures.

Well-known singer Boom Desjardins will be performing live on stage with his musicians at approximately 8: 30 p.m. Born in Val D’Or, Boom Desjardins was one of the founders of La chicane, a musical group who enjoyed great fame. Then, in 2004, Desjardins released his first solo album featuring songs celebrating the joy of living. The following year, the singer received several nominations at the music industry ADISQ gala evening.

Great moments in store on June 9 as many hours of activities, music and entertainment reunite us. Visit our food stands or bring your picnic.
