(PL) - All in all, Verdunites responded well to the new collection procedures implemented last week by the Borough. In general, the residents put out their garbage and recycling bags on the right day, in the right place. The majority of them also complied with the timeframe for doing so in their sector.
"I'm very satisfied with the results of the first week of the new household waste collection procedures," commented Borough Mayor Claude Trudel. "
Ginette Marotte, City Councillor for the Champlain-L’Île-des-Sœurs district and chair of the standing committee on the environment, also had only positive remarks to make on the residents' good response: "Verdunites have proven that they are able to show openness and cooperation when asked to do their share to improve our environment."
Residents who still have questions about the new household waste collection procedures will find more information on the Borough's website (ville.montreal.qc.ca/verdun), under Info-Collections, or they may phone the Accès Verdun office at 3-1-1.
