BA Sports Update. All of the school’s basketball teams are winding down their season with a few games left. The Bantam girls division 1 team is at 1-7, the division 3 team is at 2-6, the juvenile boys’ team is at 2-8, but there is reason to cheer as the girls’ juvenile team now 6-3 with a 28-14 victory over Royal West last Monday, and the boys’ bantam team, now at 5 and 1, it would seem to be both playoff bound.
The recent Open House was a smashing success with crowds of parents, both current and potential new parents next year jamming the downstairs lobby being welcomed by Mr. Victor’s music students and the good folks from Home and School and a chance for everybody to win a family 4 –pack for Disney on Ice in March.
The lucky winner was Carol Paradis of Beurling Avenue, who will be going to see the “Princess Classics” on March 9th courtesy of Verdun School News and the Bell Centre.
Also this coming Saturday evening, the Riverview CLC invites you to a wine, cheese, and jazz evening at the school with music provided by the Dave Turner Concordia Big band.
